FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
HOW IS THE MONEY USED?
Tuition and fees only cover approximately 80% of the expenses for the school, such as salaries, utilities, insurance, and textbooks just to name a few. The annual fund helps to bridge the gap by providing additional funding to help meet the needs of our children.
WHY NOT JUST RAISE THE TUITION AND FEES?
The school tries to keep tuition and fees reasonable so that there will be as much student body diversity as possible.
CAN I DESIGNATE MY GIFT TO A CERTAIN GRADE OR TO A PARTICULAR LINE ITEM IN THE BUDGET?
Restricted gifts are accepted and are tax deductible. However, these gifts do not go into the general budget to cover the operating expenses of the school and are not included in the Annual Fund total.
CAN I PAY MY GIFT OVER A PERIOD OF TIME?
Yes, you may make a pledge to the Annual Fund. The end of the school fiscal year, June 30, should complete all pledges.
CAN I GIVE MY GIFT IN SOMETHING OTHER THAN CASH?
Yes, you may give shares of stock, gifts of land, life insurance, etc. You may discuss these options with Lee Lee M. Lee in the Business Office.
IS MY GIFT TAX DEDUCTIBLE?
Yes. Cambridge Academy is a 501(c) 3 organization and all gifts are fully tax deductible.
